Station #8 - Jesus Dies On The Cross

Read: Mark 15: 33-39

Reflect: Jesus takes his last breath, and dies. And even then in that moment of death, there is a glimpse of the new life that’s to come. The curtain covering the Holy of Holies is torn in two, the way now open for all to access (v38); a Roman centurion comes to see Jesus for who he really is (v39). 

Jesus’ life and his death ushers in a new world; a new way of living! One in which the barriers between God and his people are torn down, and even those who you would least expect are invited in! 

Pray: Jesus, thank you that your death was not in vain! Even as we sit in the darkness of your death right now, we are full of praise that through your death there is new life and full restoration of goodness coming! We wait expectantly for your resurrection! Amen.
